Size Guide
We have a few simple instructions to make sure you measure your head properly and purchase the perfect sized hat for YOU.
You will need a cloth tape measure. It also helps if you have assistance from another person to ensure accuracy.
We recommend using a metric ruler and measuring your head in CM.
*look at this picture in your left and notice how you need to measure your head in centimeters to know your head and hat size, and always go up and round the numbers
How would you like to wear your Malosa hat?
There are two options listed below, Option 1 and Option 2 are both different, it is essential to measure your hat to fit like your preferred option as there are significant differences.
Option 1 – Hispter or halo
This is the “halo” style of wearing a hat. Choose this option if this is the way you will choose to wear your hat.
1. Simply get your cloth measuring tape and place it around your head over your occipital bone (the furthest part on the back of your head).
2. Bring the measure around to the front of your head. About 5 mm above your ears and position it at the top of your forehead (beginning of hairline).
Option 2 – Traditional or for us is really the sexy way to wear a hat
This is the “traditional” style of wearing a hat. Choose this option if this is the way you will choose to wear your hat.
1. Simply get your cloth measuring tape and place it around your head over your occipital bone (the furthest part on the back of your head).
2. Bring the measure around to the front of your head. About 5 mm above your ears and position it at the top of your forehead (beginning of hairline).
One size fits all
Ladies’ fascinators or pill boxes have one size only and they can be attached to the hair or head with elastic bands, pins or little combs hidden in the hair.
Choosing the right size
If the tape measure falls between two sizes, it is reccommended to round it up to the bigger size as the going one size lower can be easier dome later by inserting a cork, felt or cotton strip under the sweatband.
Try it on
The size of any hat can be altered one or two sizes up or down. The limitations are always due to the fabric used for producing the hat.

Remember that if you purchase a hat with us and it doesnt fit, we an always change it for another size, but always go a bit higher, never lower, cause a hat has to feel comfortable, never tight, cause a tight hat can be painful and not pleasant and a big hat…maybe its just you that knows its big but looks comfortable and amazing.
Tips that may help you
There is no such thing as an overall correct fit. You must ensure your hat fits the way YOU want it to. It is entirely a matter of personal preference and whatever feels right to you. A tighter fitting hat stays on better for people who are active – think a festival or day at the beach, your hat will also sit higher on your head. A looser fitting hat is more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time (4+ hours) and will sit lower on your head.
